Iron Banks Lodge sits high above the banks of the Mississippi with a view as grand as the old hotel itself. The Lodge offers plenty of room inside and out for entertaining family and friends' It has four spacious guest rooms upstairs, each with a private bathroom, thoughtfully designed for your comfort and quiet relaxation.
Full of history COLUMBUS, KY., population 200, was once a bustling steamboat and rail center on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. Against a backdrop of 120 ft. bluffs, the town was subject to flooding and of necessity, was moved by the Red Cross to the safety of those bluffs in 1927. Originally built as a hotel, Iron Banks was a family home until it was fully renovated by the Scott brothers and opened to the public in 2015.
Cairo, Ill. is 20 miles north and Clinton, the seat of Hickman County is located 10 miles inland on U.S. Hwy. 51. Adjacent to Columbus, Columbus-Belmont State Park features the area's role in the Civil War with restored earthen fortifications and a state of the art museum. We are also near the Boat Ramp of the Mississippi River, the Mississippi River Trails, and Wright's Area 252 ATV Riding Park.
